A wonderful Turkish Transylvanian piece dating back to the 19th century.

Made from all natural wool on a wool foundation this interesting little rug is made with a double knotted weave, making it most likely a copy of the originals, it features a double columned design often made in the 19th century.

There is a few minor damages, but barely noticeable for a rug of this age. This gorgeous medium Turkish rug is suitable for normal domestic use.

With all our handmade rugs, we recommend using a non-slip underlay, whether it will be placed on hard flooring or on wall to wall carpet, to stop the rug moving about. This can be purchased from us for £25 per linear meter (width 180cm)
