A beautiful Caucasian Shirvan rug of the classic linked medallion design, dating back to the very early 1900’s.

Made of fantastic lamb’s wool on wool foundation, it’s delicately soft and has a nice subtle sheen to it.

A good example of its type, the rug has excellent colour made from all vegetable dyes, note the small animals and people in the field. 

The rug is in excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile, suitable for normal domestic use.

With all our handmade rugs, we recommend using a non slip underlayer, whether it will be placed on hard flooring or on wall to wall carpet, to stop the rug moving about. This can be purchased from us for £25 per linear meter (width 180cm)
