An interesting Sumak Kilim of 1980’s Afghan production.

Soft natural wool on a wool foundation, featuring a well drawn Caucasian design, note the pretty little figurines and animals decorating the nude field surrounding 3 strong medallions, figures representing of a family.

The border which surrounds this beautiful kilim is of simple yet intricate design, with rich pastel colourings derived from vegetable dyes. This muted style rug is a perfect furnishing attraction for any room, in very good condition, suitable for general domestic use.

With all our handmade rugs, we recommend using a non-slip underlay, whether it will be placed on hard flooring or on wall to wall carpet, to stop the rug moving about. This can be purchased from us for £25 per linear meter (width 180cm)
